Family Portrait Clothing Ideas for 2018

Family Portraits can be a challenge....I get it.
Coordinating your family to get together in one location on a specific day with happy attitudes is a task that can seem overwhelming and maybe even...shall I say, IMPOSSIBLE?

There are many things that have to happen to make this Family Portrait possible and I am here to help take the stress off of you wherever I can.

So here are a TON of examples of Family Portrait Clothing Ideas. I hope this gives you a great place to start. Also, I have listed a few "rules" about clothing that may help you figure out what is best for you and your family.

1. Be sure you and your style are represented in your clothing. This includes the kids. If they would never wear a button down long sleeve shirt, consider another style of shirt.
2. Stick with 2-3 color tones throughout the family. Too many colors makes you look like confetti or Easter eggs and takes the focus away from the family.
3. Be careful with patterns. Subtle patterns are a wonderful addition, but bold patterns can really take the attention away from your faces.
4. Sleeves are always best. Unless you LOVE your arms, cover them up.
5. Be sure to dress head to toe. I will always photograph you full length, so please don't forget about your shoes (especially those light-up neon kids tennis shoes)
6. When deciding on your colors, consider the colors in the room where the final portrait will be hung. If you have all cool tones (greys and blues), wear cool tones. If you have all warm tones (golds, reds, burgundys), wear warm tones.

School has started.
Fall is on it's way and will be here before you know it!

The Santa Experience 2018

The Santa Experience 2018 Details are HERE!
ONE WEEKEND ONLY!
November 10 and 11

SANTA's WORKSHOP
This beautiful scene will feature Santa Claus and some unfinished toys that need painting, as well as some antique toys that need a bit of tender loving care. Watch the magic unfold as Santa interacts with your child in this storytelling portrait session.

BAKING WITH SANTA
This fun and whimsical kitchen scene is adorable with kids of all ages. Your children will have the chance to help make some cookies and decorate a Gingerbread house with their favorite chef, Santa Claus! We will have aprons and chef hats to finish off the look. Be careful....a flour fight may ensue leaving your kids with the memories of a lifetime!

The week after your session, you will return back to the studio to view and select your favorite images for printing using our state-of-the-art projection system.

In order to book your session, the session fee and minimum purchase is due.
We will mail a copy of our full Collector's Series Price Menu.
(about half off our regular portrait pricing)

If you have questions about anything, the best way to get those answered is to call us at 210-497-3809 where a friendly person will fully answer all of your questions.

The Artist Project {San Antonio Fine Art Photographer}

I have been photographing families and children for the past 27 years and to say that I LOVE my job, is an understatement. I believe I have done it "all". I have photographed all over the world and enjoyed every moment. But I feel it is time to re-energize myself and go back to some basic,
in-studio, fine art portraiture.
I am working on a new "style" in  the studio that I can do when it is 110 degrees...or 24 degrees...or raining....and I am very excited about the possibilities.
I am looking for up to 10 people who would like to be a part of this new style
so I can share it with the world.

This session works best with a maximum of 3 people.
The session is complimentary, but does have a minimum order of our 10" Floating Fine Art Piece.
Here are a few samples of the style I am working towards.
 Simple. Timeless.

The Floating Art Piece is printed on Fine Art Paper, floated and triple matted and completed with a simple, complementary frame.
