Santa's Beach Vacation {San Antonio Santa Portraits}

 Santa Claus is coming to San Antonio a little early this year!

Due to Coronavirus, Santa didn't get his normal summer vacation at the Beach, so instead he is visiting our special little beach at Artistic Images. 

We have worked so hard making Santa's Surf Shack (only a tiny bit of that is showing here (because it just wasn't quite ready when we created these images). In addition we have added a palm tree and several other fun pieces that really make this set design one you and your kids will never forget!

So, keep your summer wear handy as this year that is the PERFECT attire for Santa's Beach Vacation Portraits. In fact, you can even go without shoes, so you will be able to feel the sand between your toes.

If you have never been to see us for Santa Portraits, you will soon find out that these aren't your average "Pictures with Santa". There are many imposters out there, but we have the REAL Santa Claus here and have been working with for 26 years!! Crazy, right? Between you and me....Elizabeth is his favorite photographer.

A Wizarding World {A Limited Edition Portrait Event}

 A couple of years ago, I decided to create a portrait of my teenage son that really depicted what he absolutely LOVED at that age....all things Harry Potter!

He has read ALL the books (several times), seen ALL the movies many, many times AND even been to the London studio where many of the movie scenes were filmed. Let's just say he is slightly obsessed.

Seeing that I have never watched a full movie and never read a page in the book, I relied on him to help me set the scene for his themed portrait session. Thanks to my friend Google, I drew inspiration from the movie posters and stills from the movie scenes and we created A Wizarding World!

Now Jackson is not a huge fan of being my model, but for this session he was ALL IN. We had a blast creating these images, capturing flying books, and he loved putting spells on me. Of course.

Everyone we have shown these to has RAVED about the images and wished they had ones just like them. So....we have decided to create an event just for all the Harry Potter fans out there.

DETAILS:

These sessions are 30 minutes in length and designed especially for kids and young adults.

While the set is designed with one person in mind, we are able to fit up to 3 people at the most.

Robes and Ties will be provided, in addition to Books and Wands. 

Have your own outfit, wand or HP stuff? Great! You may totally use your own things!

This session is a LIMITED EDITION. 

That means for a limited time we are offering this set with all the cool props for a limited number of sessions. Our limit is only TEN SESSIONS! 

The Dates are October 8-10th. 

After each session we will need 30 minutes to sanitize the set and props for our next little wizard. Your safety is a concern and we are taking all the necessary steps to be sure everyone stays healthy.

In Honor of Mister Cheeks

We would like to introduce you to a young man named Alan, also known as Mister Cheeks because of his face-busting smile. Alan’s interests are the same as many of our children’s. A passion for monochromatic animals like zebras and penguins; Sponge Bob Square Pants; Chuck E. Cheese games, pizza and tickets; Krispy Kreme; Morgan’s Wonderland; letters and numbers; super heroes: star wars; rocket launches; soccer and pandas……we cannot forget about the pandas! Alan had a gift for numbers and loved learning about them. Reading and counting numbers, typing numbers, adding numbers and of course saying his parent’s age.

When Alan was only about a year old he was diagnosed with a sarcoma tumor in his hip. He spent four long years fighting this unwelcomed visitor. It was at this time that Alan and his family learned how prolific childhood cancers were, yet how little funding is actually available (less than 4% of federal grants). They learned that child cancers are very
different from adult cancers. Furthermore, evenkids who survive will ultimately face many long term side effects, secondary cancers, and relapse as they grow.

The family found answers to their questions from the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. St. Baldricks
is the largest private funder of childhood cancer research in the United States, if not the world. Unfortunately Alan lost his fight with sarcoma just two months after this portrait was made.

We would like to honor Alan and the St. Baldrick’s Foundation by helping to raise
money for cancer research. Alan loved numbers, so the goal is to raise $12,345.67 by his birthday on November 7th. For the month of October clients will have the opportunity to purchase social media files of any image from any current or past session for $10 each. Then in honor of Mister Cheeks birthday on November 7th we will donate the money raised to the St. Baldricks Hero Fund established in his memory. So give us a call, heck, we are not even going to wait until October……September is Child Cancer Awareness month!

This setting is great for Formal Attire all the way down to your Christmas Pajamas! The colors are gold, silver, white, grey and of course Santa will be wearing his RED suit.

Artistic Images has been creating Santa Portraits for the past 23 years. This is the first year that we have chosen to only do ONE Santa Setting on ONE weekend. We will be taking appointments early and late, but we will not be adding any days...after all Santa is VERY BUSY this time of year.
