Facebook Friday is BACK!

Last year I had so much fun photographing all of the professionals that came into the studio for our Facebook Friday!  It is fun now to see everyone's Facebook Profile Pic to be one that I took.  Since I am totally addicted to Facebook, I see how important a great Profile Pic is.  It is seen over and over again and if it is not good, then it will stick in everyone's mind.  I want your image to stick in everyone's mind because it is an AWESOME image of you. Networking with other professionals over the web is where the future is...so don't have your photo say the wrong things about you. Portrait Session Gone Wrong!

I tend to brag on my children about how awesome they are whenever I get the chance, right?  Well this time I wanted to make all you parents who have had uncooperative children during a portrait session feel a little bit better. I had my sweet little angels come over for our "Take me out to the Ballgame" session since this was their first year in T-ball.  While they were here, I did some portraits of my littlest son, Joshua, for his 5th birthday swim party as well.  Can you say SPOILED????  They think just because they come to Mommy's studio to take photos that they automatically get to go to the treasure chest??? Guess again!  They think that just because they have seen Rebecca's comic relief routine many times that they can now roll their eyes at her????  Think again!!!

Needless to say, sweat was not the only thing coming out of my pores!  This has not been the first time they have acted up but it has started to escalate into this contest of "lets see who can make Mommy the maddest?"  Let's suffice to say that I got great images (no thanks to them) and I got some fabulous outtakes that I should now share with the world.  One day they may hate me but for now I am just wanting to let everyone have a good laugh!  Now never say "I'm sorry my kids were so bad" to me.  We are all in this for one reason...to capture our children the way they truly are so we can remember the stories later, when we are old and grey.

I am going to NAPA!!!

Hey there!  I am going to NAPA Valley this September 24-27.  This is the PERFECT time of year to be there.  The grapes will be full, the weather will be beautiful and the wine will be flowing!  This could be your perfect weekend getaway to have a beautiful and unique portrait session.  Here are some sample portraits of a couple I photographed in the winter. Summer is HERE!

In a few short days, the kids will be out of school and vacations will begin...YEA!!!!  My family and I will be taking a trip to Maui where I will photograph 3 families in the beautiful scenery that Maui has to offer.  My boys are so excited to go to Hawaii all because of Aloha Scooby Doo!  They want to see a volcano and some hula dancers...forget the beautiful waterfalls, snorkeling and dolphin watching! 
When I return it will be time for Rebecca (my fabulous assistant) to get married!!!  Her wedding is on Saturday June 12 and is sure to be one giant photographic opportunity. The next day, my family and I are off to Kerrville to attend/judge/learn at the Texas Professional Photographers Association's annual Summer Seminar. Upon our return I will spend a day at the studio and then it is off to North Padre Island for our annual beach portrait adventure (there are still a few appointments available, btw).
Before we know it, it will be JULY!  There are some fabulous July specials going on (see below) and you don't want to miss out.

This is Madeline. I could have picked an image where she had a beautiful smile, but I couldn't resist this pouty photo of Madeline. If you look close, you can even see some tears welled up in her eyes....Just Precious!!! No worries, Madeline had a fabulous portrait session and was all smiles after this tentative beginning.
